I made these cupcakes for Brooklyn's activity days. I think it was birthday week.

Brooklyn's bday craft
Summer Time
Scared to death!
Here's one for all the mom's out there and for my journal. Yesterday, my mother in law brought over dinner for my bday. We set the table and Damon left to pick up Brooklyn just around the corner and left the garage door open. Margaret said "Where's Owen?" I said I don't know. We looked and immediatly found him looking at the computer. We both went back into the kitchen and continued with dinner plans. When Damon was back and everything was ready we yelled for the kids. Everyone came except Owen. We called and looked. Slowly we started getting panicked. Where could he be? We checked the pool and after 10 minutes. I called 911. Franticly searching, screaming and crying and saying I don't understand he has to be here. Oh I forgot it was pooring rain and thundering and lighting outside. I just knew he wouldn't walk out in that but the garage door was open so we weren't sure. We had all the neighbors looking and I checked the pool at least 5 times with the 911 lady on line with me the whole time. I've never felt more scared and so hopeless. After about 15 minutes which seemed like forever, Mason said I hear him. He coughed. I rolled my eyes and then Ethan said I heard it to mom. He then popped up from under Brooklyn's round chair which has fabric on top of it and I wouldv'e never thought to look under it. I must have went into her room 5 times and yelled Owen. We all ran in there, I'm still on with 911 and Brooklyn says He was pooping mom. I couldn't believe it. Shaky and crying I grabbed him and couldn't have been more thankful for that little poop. The 911 lady just kindof laughed and said are you sure he's ok. I said yes. The police showed up right after I changed the imfamous poop. Now it's funny but it wasn't at the time. Another story down in the books and a birthday I'll never forget. Oh the stories mom's get to tell! I swear my kids are going to give me a heart attack someday but I love them to pieces.

Ok can you rotate pics. I need to figure this one out but I guess I'll leave it for now.
Ethan just finished his golf lessons. Doesn't he look like a pro? I think so. Damon took the boys to the fathers and sons camp out while I was in Utah. The boys love to scooter to the bus stop to get the kids. How cool is their dad!?
Kids Activities
This is Brooklyn performing with her ballroom dancing class at school. She had a great time and looked so grown up dancing with a boy.
Here's Brooklyn and her friend Devon performing for Evening of the Arts. The same as the ballroom dancing night. Owen is attempting to dribble. It's hard to be the youngest and not know how to do everything that the older boys do. He does a great job trying. Mason played in his first basketball league. I don't think he liked it very much. He loved the idea of it but said his legs were too tired every game. I don't know what his deal was.
I decided if I don't scrapbook or keep a photo album that this would be a great scrapbook for me. I read on my friends blog that you can print it out at the end of the year. So hear it goes for journaling....I hope I don't bore anyone as this will mostly be for me and my out of state family but would love to share it with friends as well. I've seen some pretty amazing blogs though and feel pretty insecure with my boring little blog. Hey, maybe I'll get better.

Grateful for.....
Yesterday I was thinking of all the things that I was really thankful for. Sometimes I get nostalgic, I don't know why. I love piggyback rides. It's so fun and such an easy way to please the boys. They get so happy and all I have to do is carry them on my back and run around. I saw two sets of elderly moms and daughters together holding hands and two different stores. I'm thankful I have a daughter and I love being a daughter. I hope Brooklyn will take care of me and love me like that when I'm old. I will certainly be honored to take care of my mother when she is old. I'm thankful for sons and brothers. Yesterday, the boys went outside to play and wanted me to come push them on the swingset. I told them as soon I cleaned up dinnner I would be outside. When I was wiping the counter I turned to see Mason pushing Owen on the swing and they were both laughing having a great time. It's so cute to see your 4 year old taking care of your 2 year old. I'm thankful they have each other.
