Our RS had mock natural disasters. I was chosen to not go to the grocery store for 3 days. Seriously, I'm glad to report it was no problem. We have alot of food. I enjoy buying food so it was nice to take time out from going to the store and actually eating our food that we do have. I was supposed to take inventory and realize stuff we can improve on. I did. We need batteries in our emergence flashlights in the kitchen cupboard..they were dead. I need more dry milk. We go through 10 gallons a week. I kid you not. I need more meat in the freezer....at least enough for a month. I'm sure there's alot more but that's all for now. It was a good experiment. We were asked to stage a photo..so here's one.

You will have to tell me more about this drill because that is my new calling in our ward...Emergency Preparedness Specialist. We did a little drill on Sunday. The bishop made two calls; to the EQ Pres and HP Leader. He tld them this was an Emergency Preparedness drill and to leave the house within 5 minutes, meet at the church and call those they HT and pass along the message. It was interesting to see how many families got the message and then brought their 72 hr kit etc. I think it was an eye opener for some. Email me privately and give me more details!
